• Q: How long does the warranty on the iPV 5 extend?
• A: The limited warranty we offer on the iPV 5 lasts 3 months from the date of purchase

• Q: How do I lock the resistance on the IPV 5?
• A: Press and hold the plus and minus buttons at the same time until it displays the locked resistance

• Q: How do I update the iPV 5?
• A: The iPV 5 is updated using the SXI update software. Found at pioneer4you.com, one can download both the software and the drivers from the website. While downloading, remove the batteries from the device and plug the device into your computer using the included micro USB cable. Once plugged in, navigate to the connection tab and click the connect button on the page. Once it shows that the device is connected to the computer properly, navigate back to the menu where you will find an update page. Click on the upgrade tab and from there, please load the software update using the “open file” tab. Once loaded, click the upgrade button and from there, the program will update the device and then notify when the process is complete.

• Q: Why is my device limited to 75 watts?
• A: The iPV 5 can have a 75 watt cap on its output for 2 reasons:
  1. The device is in SX Pure Mode where it is limited to 75 watts (Remove limit by returning back to power mode)
  2. While rare, a known bug has surfaced among a few of the units that seizes the ability to change wattage above 75. If this occurs, contact KMG immediately and the device will be replaced

• Q: Why does the device say “no liquid” or “dry coil” when in temp mode?
• A: The device displays this when the resistance bounces and can be easily fixed by locking the resistance

• A: While charging via the specialized cord is supported, it is HIGHLY recommended to charge the batteries using an external charger

• Q: What happens if I don’t include return shipping in my package?
• A: KMG offers two options for return shipping:
  1. USPS First class, $4
  2. USPS Priority Mail, $7

• Q: How long does the return process take?
• A: The process needed to either repair or fix your device is dependent on both the shipping methods you choose to use and the severity of the issues with the device. Once the item is received, it usually takes 1-3 days to put the mod through our testing matrix and decide what to do with the device. Overall, the process takes between 5 and 10 business day to complete

• Q: What happens if my device does not fall under warranty?
• A: If the device does not fall under warranty, the sender will be called or emailed and the item will be shipped back to the address provided on the return shipping label

• Q: What does the warranty cover?
• A: KMG’s limited warranty covers any manufacturer errors in the device, I.E. chip malfunction, soldering, etc.. It does NOT cover any aesthetic issues or problems caused by user error due to mishandling of the product
